ABOUT ME

I’m Hannah and I'm a specialist pelvic health physiotherapist working within the NHS and private practice. There are not many specialist pelvic health physiotherapists in the UK, so my colleagues and I are passionate about promoting our profession, increasing awareness of pelvic health and breaking the taboo around pelvic health dysfunction.

It is a pleasure to be able to help improve symptoms for a range of very personal but very common problems such as bladder leakage, bowel dysfunction, pain in pregnancy, postnatal recovery and sexual pain.  Often, pelvic health problems are also intrinsically linked with emotional and psychological concerns. This is where my academic background in psychology and neuroscience and my career as a physiotherapist find common ground.

As a pelvic health physiotherapist, I have the incredible fortune of supporting and empowering people everyday. Too often we hear ‘if only I had known that pelvic health physiotherapy

existed years ago – my life would have been so different’. At all stages in life people can experience change in their bodies, but it takes people on average 7 years to speak up and seek help. Gynaecological and pelvic problems are not only frustrating but can also be embarrassing and restrictive, forcing us to hide away and suffer in silence...but I hope once you have read this, you will feel confident to access our services.
