ABOUT ME

I’m Hannah and I'm a specialist pelvic health physiotherapist working within the NHS and private practice. There are not many specialist pelvic health physiotherapists in the UK, so my colleagues and I are passionate about promoting our profession, increasing awareness of pelvic health and breaking the taboo around pelvic health dysfunction.

It is a pleasure to be able to help improve symptoms for a range of very personal but very common problems such as bladder leakages, bowel dysfunctions, pain in pregnancy, postnatal recovery and sexual pain.  Pelvic health problems I treat are also intrinsically linked with emotional and psychological concerns. This is where my academic background in psychology and neuroscience and my career as a physiotherapist find common ground.

As a pelvic health physiotherapist, I have the incredible fortune to support and empower people everyday. Too often we hear ‘if only I had known that pelvic health physiotherapy existed years ago – my life would have been so different’. At all stages in life people can experience changes in their bodies but it takes people on average 7 years to speak up and seek help. Gynaecological and pelvic problems are not only frustrating but can also be embarrassing, forcing us to hide away and suffer in silence but I hope once you have read this, you will feel more confident in accessing our services.
